Our volunteers have been getting to grips with our new Incident Control Unit, which has recently received its livery and been fitted with a custom built deployable awning.

The awning can be used either as a canopy to provide overhead shelter for the crew or with side panels to offer our volunteers some privacy during prolonged operations.

The vehicle will play a key role in our operations, including:
Incident commander colocation with partner agencies during JESIP deployments
Transporting our UAS team to incidents
Assisting with crew movements during major searches and incidents
A huge thank you to The Awning Company for fitting the awning and to PVL UK for applying the vehicle livery - it’s certainly looking the part!
In the coming weeks, it will be fitted with additional lighting and onboard electronics, including VHF communications and display screens to further enhance its operational capabilities.
As an independent lifeboat station, we rely entirely on public donations to keep improving and adapting to meet the needs of the community. Your support helps us build the tools and infrastructure needed to respond, whenever we’re needed most.
