Payroll Giving

If your firm or company operates the Payroll Giving Scheme (whether you are an employee or a pensioner) and you would like to make regular payments to Southport Offshore Rescue Trust each week or month, any donation you decide to make is taken from your pay before tax has been paid, and there is a tax advantage to you.

 

For every £1 you donate, the actual cost to you will be £1 minus income tax at the rate you pay it, so if you are a standard rate taxpayer it will only cost you 80p. The income Tax relating to that £1 is paid to our Charity instead of the Inland Revenue.
