The Southport Lifeboat crew were tasked today (26/06/13) at 13:50 to reports of a man stuck on the marshes at Southport.
The Quad Bikes and mud rescue kit were mustered and sent to the incident on the marshes by Marshside Road, Southport.
The Auxiliary Coastguard unit from Southport and Fire Brigade had helped remove the casualty, who was not stuck in the mud but was suffering from chest pains, from the marshes and into an ambulance as the Quad Bikes arrived.
The casualty was transported to hospital in an ambulance.
Well done to all involved and we wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
