Donations
There are many ways in which you can donate to the Southport Offshore Rescue Trust to help us fund the annual running costs of our Lifeboat Service, which is currently in excess of £40,000 each year. We need to buy rescue equipment for the boats, and provide the maintenance costs for the boats, launch vehicles and quad bikes, and the essential training courses needed for the safety of crew members.
All of this can only be achieved through the generous support of the public, both locally and further afield as we receive no regular grant aid or financial assistance from any source or other organisation. However you choose to support us, any contribution you are able to make, however large or small will be greatly appreciated.
If you have any queries or questions, or would like any further information about any of the headings given below, you can either email to info@southport-lifeboat.co.uk or contact the Treasurer by post, to 110 Heysham Road, Southport PR9 7ED.
Please remember that Southport Offshore Rescue Trust is a voluntary lifeboat and sea rescue charity. We are not part of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). We do not receive any funding from them, and we depend entirely on donations from the public. We receive no Government grants, and none of our crew and volunteers receive any remuneration. Because we are a Charity, we are not allowed to directly ask for money from the people we assist. We are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to help people in distress.
We depend on you, so please help us.
